Sminthurides schoetti - <br><p><b>Original description on Flickr:</b> </p> <dl> <dd><i>I finally found some aquatic springtails in Australia! These photos were taken on the edge of a rancid little pool of water in the middle of some regenerating bush in the Uriarra state forest near Canberra. They were everywhere but right by the water so it was a little tricky getting any decent shots. My flash diffuser was half under water so I was swearing quite a lot too....</i></dd> <dd><i>Now, this adult Sminthurides female in the main photo could be S. schoetti, Frans' sp.2 or something else entirely. I have no idea!
